About The C2 Foundation

In July 2021, the town of Norton suffered a profound loss with the passing of Deputy Chief Thomas Petersen. For 33 years, Deputy Chief Petersen served the Norton community with honor, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to the people he protected. He was more than a law enforcement officer — he was a true pillar of the community.

In his memory, Michelle Petersen and a group of dedicated community members established The C2 Foundation, a Massachusetts 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The foundation's mission is beautifully simple: keep the memory of Deputy Chief Thomas Petersen alive by supporting the various community endeavors he cared so deeply about.

The C2 Foundation channels its efforts into supporting a range of Norton charities and community initiatives. By operating as a force multiplier for local giving, the foundation extends Deputy Chief Petersen's legacy of service in tangible, meaningful ways.
